Silver Plate Tea Set 1916 By John Turton. A superior, fine and impressive antique English silver plate three piece tea service. This exceptional antique three piece silver tea set consists of a teapot, sugar bowl and cream jug. The pieces of this 1916 silver plate tea set have an oval incurved form the cream jug has a tapering form. The surface of each piece is embellished with fine and impressive bright cut engraved foliate and floral head designs, bordering a vacant oval cartouche to either side. The upper and lower rims of each item are encompassed with an applied roped decorated border. The lid is topped with a carved oval finial. Very ornate, early twentieth century, three piece tea set, in EPBM Electroplated Britannia Metal. Engraved with the following. Presented to Mr & Mrs James Bradley, on the occasion of their marriage November 6th 1916. Age related condition consummate with age.
